Today, we are going to talk climate change. As you know, the climate crisis is already here. From wild fires all summer on the west coast, to frigid winters taking out the power grid in Texas, it feels there is one crisis after another. We are in dire need of structural changes across all systems to better prepare for our changing world.
If you are a fan of TORRAIN, you are probably aware of your carbon footprint. And we will admit, sometimes that awareness is overwhelming. It’s hard to be plastic free in this modern world.
Plastic pollution has always been at the forefront of our minds here at TORRAIN. It’s one of the reasons we do what we do; we’d like to be able to take what has been discarded and turn it into something fun and exciting, with hope that it lessens the impact on the environment. So, of course, throughout this entire pandemic we have been thinking about how its caused an influx of single use items ending up in our oceans and landfills.
