One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child. ~ Carl Jung
Take a step back from what you are doing, breathe, take in your surroundings and enjoy a moment of gratitude.
Gratitude has the power to change our perspective on life. It allows us to reflect and acknowledge that all the things we DO have are precious – family, friends, health, life, choice.
Life is constantly ebbing and flowing. We are complex beings with a vast array of emotions and it's so easy to get tunnel vision. One of the eye opening experiences of traveling, especially to impoverished places, is witnessing how vibrant and happy people can be in mere simplicity. One example is in the small villages of Guatemala, where you see families and children often smiling and waving. They live off the land, in shacks without cell phones or TV. Turth is, the majority of people in this world do not have cell phones or TV. It’s so easy to get caught up in the longing for material goods, in social climbing and feeling like what we have or how we are perceived is not enough and thus, we forget to be happy in our body, mind and soul. Stopping and taking a breath is a great tool to remind ourselves that there is so much to be thankful for... even for the sheer fact that we are alive in this beautiful life.
At TORRAIN, we try to practice gratitude every morning. Breathing, setting intention and giving thanks for our spirit, health and mind. This act ignites ambition and shifts our perspective on the day… especially while living in our rainy weather ;)
We encourage all of our fans to try it. Just say thank you when you wake up. Put a smile on your face and see if it changes your week.
We're grateful for you :)
